Delhi University's AVASAR 2026 Placement Drive on October 7: 85+ Companies, 4,000+ Students Registered

The Delhi University (DU) will hold the second edition of AVASAR 2026, its flagship placement drive, on October 7. DU students hunting for their first job or internship must note that the university's biggest placement event of the year is just around the corner.

DU will hold the second edition of AVASAR 2026, its flagship placement drive, on October 7. The event is organised by the Central Placement Cell (CPC), functioning under the Office of the Dean of Students' Welfare (DSW).

AVASAR is the rebranded version of what used to be called the ‘Job Mela’. The core idea behind this is to bring students and employers face-to-face, and make it easier for students to access real job and internship opportunities across different sectors.

This year, more than 4,000 students have already registered for the event, and over 85 organisations are expected to take part. This is a solid turnout that reflects both student demand and growing employer interest in DU talent.

The list of participating organisations sees a wide mix of sectors- from finance and ed-tech to skilling and infrastructure. Some of the companies confirmed so far include:

With this wide array of sectors on offer, students across different academic backgrounds and skill sets should find relevant opportunities to explore, and not just from one or two industries.

For students wanting to know the kind of salaries and stipends that these companies will offer, here are the numbers that matter most:

These figures represent the top end of what's being offered, so actual packages vary depending on the role, company and candidate profile. However, these numbers give a useful sense of the scale employers are bringing to this drive.

AVASAR is part of a bigger push by the Central Placement Cell to strengthen the relationship between Delhi University and employers, and to give students broader, more direct access to job and internship opportunities than they might find on their own.

The drive isn't only about walking away with an offer letter on the day but it is also designed as a space where students can directly interact with company representatives, ask questions, and explore roles that genuinely align with their academic background and skills, rather than applying blind through an online portal.

With over 4,000 students already signed up and 85+ organisations confirmed, AVASAR 2026 is shaping up to be a significant opportunity for DU students across streams. If you're a Delhi University student and haven't registered yet, October 7 at North Campus is the date and place to be. And given the scale of participation, it's worth going in prepared with an updated resume and a clear sense of which companies on the list align with what you're looking for.
